Job Summary

Henri is seeking a passionate Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing our resident platform, contributing to both back-end and front-end development.


Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code using the Ruby on Rails framework.

  • Develop and integrate new features from end to end, including building from scratch or integrating with third-party services.

  • Collaborate closely with design, product, sales, and management teams to develop innovative solutions.

  • Integration of data storage solutions.

  • Identify bugs and resolve performance bottlenecks, usability issues, and scalability challenges.

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code integrity standards and best practices are upheld.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them to solve technical challenges.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience building functional production applications utilizing Ruby on Rails.

  • Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes

  • Proficiency in Mac/Linux environments.

  • Experience with API development and consumption.

  • Strong skills in writing tests using RSpec.

  • Ability to work independently in both remote and in-person settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Heroku.

  • Background in working with UX and visual designers to create user-friendly interfaces.
